Sal Fat

Sal Fat or Shorea Robusta Fat is refined sal oil that is extracted from sal seeds. The product is a white solid with a typical odor and has become a major constituent of confectionery items and a component of Cocoa Butter Equivalent (CBE). It is used as a replacement for cocoa butter in many confectionery items. Due to its nature and composition, it is used for the coatings and fillings in the product.
